REDCOM Laboratories, Inc., a leading developer and supplier of advanced tactical communications systems, has announced that the Joint Interoperability Test Command has successfully evaluated REDCOM Sigma software version 4.2.4 and is now listed on the Department of Defense Information Network Approved Products List (DoDIN APL) as a Local Session Controller (LSC). This latest DISA cybersecurity (CS) and interoperability (IO) certification for REDCOM Sigma is valid through September 24, 2027.
REDCOM Sigma combines formerly disparate hardware and software components into a lightweight, unified software instance. Sigma software is already deployed and proven in multiple programs with the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. Click here to view the full memorandum for distribution from DISA.
This marks the final DoDIN certification for REDCOM Sigma, as DISA announced earlier this year that the APL program is officially shutting down on December 31, 2025. Even without the DoDIN APL and JITC testing, REDCOM remains committed to rigorous cybersecurity testing through DISA’s Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) program and interoperability testing guided by the UCR.

About the DoDIN Approved Products List
The Department of Defense created the Department of Defense Information Network Approved Products List (DoDIN APL) in 2011 to identify solutions that were tested and trusted to address government security concerns.
The DoDIN APL represents the agency’s master list of products available for purchase that are secure, trusted, and approved for deployment within the DoD’s technology infrastructure. Over the years, the DoDIN APL has been referred to by many names, including the UC APL (Unified Capabilities Approved Products List), JITC and STIG Testing, and more.
The DoDIN APL was sunset on 30 September, 2025, with all testing wrapped up by 31 December, 2025. To maintain transparency and continuity, DISA will maintain the repository of DoDIN APL products through Fiscal Year 2026.
