The Mission Starts Here
REDCOM Sigma® is a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Command & Control software ecosystem with voice, video, chat, and conferencing. Sigma can be deployed in the Cloud or on the hypervisor of your choice.
Built to support DoD network modernization strategies, REDCOM Sigma increases the warfighter’s operational flexibility while reducing size, weight, and power (SWaP) requirements at the tactical edge. REDCOM Sigma is based on open standards with a focus on interoperability, flexibility, and ease of use, and is listed on the DoDIN Approved Products List (APL).
REDCOM Sigma was selected by the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office Command, Control Communications-Network (PEO C3N) for network modernization at the tactical edge. Click here to read the entire case study on why the Army selected REDCOM Sigma.

Dominate comms in all domains
REDCOM Sigma crushes complexity. What used to require multiple separate systems now runs on one lightweight software platform.
Sigma unifies voice, video, chat, and radio control into one C2 platform. With Sigma, tactical users can cut costs and complexity while accelerating operational flexibility.
Sigma can perform the following functions in a single lightweight software instance:
- Voice
- Video
- Chat (XMPP/IRC)
- Transcoding
- Conferencing
- Console
- Radio Interop
Sigma’s flexible licensing and pricing mean you only pay for what you need. Reach out to REDCOM for more information on the optimal configuration for your organization.
Move fast. Stay connected.
Sigma boots in 60 seconds. Survives hard shutdowns. Talks to your legacy gear without the rip-and-replace nightmare. This is software engineered for warfighters who can’t afford downtime—because mobility is survival.
- Built for "shoot - move - communicate" environments.
- Powers up in a minute.
- Resilient to hard shutdowns.
- Bridges yesterday's gear with next-gen tech.
- Enables warfighters to pivot to new C2 tech quickly and efficiently.
Brutally simple. Wickedly powerful.
More tech shouldn’t mean more headaches. Sigma’s sophisticated simplicity approach means your warfighters learn the platform in hours—not weeks. No IT specialists downrange. No waiting on contractors. Your team owns the mission. Complexity kills missions. Sigma strips it away.
- Reduces lifecycle costs and overall network footprint
- Reduces complexity required to install, operate, and maintain comms
- Reduces the need for IT experts or field service reps
- APIs allow for easy configuration of Sigma and C2 Console connections via third-party apps
Command and Control from one screen
The Sigma C2 Console gives you god-mode over your entire tactical comms network. Monitor every conversation. Patch any endpoint. Bridge talk groups on the fly with drag-and-drop simplicity. It doesn’t care what radio you’re using or what waveform you’re running—it just works.
- Listen to any conversation across multiple devices and talk groups.
- Build patches on-the-fly simply by dragging and dropping connections together.
- Agnostic to the underlying platform, the waveform, and the transmission path itself.
- TSM talk groups can be added as connections in the C2 Console app. Each TSM talk group can be bridged together with other TSM talk groups, radio nets, and SIP endpoints.
Amplify ISR with lightweight tactical video
Traditional VTC is a bandwidth hog. Sigma’s selectable video is leaner, meaner, and built for contested environments. Broadcast one stream to multiple endpoints. Let operators control it, or automate switching by priority. This is video that thrives at the edge.
- VTC for chaotic, congested, or contested environments
- Broadcast video streams on a channel or push feeds from an external camera or drone
- Remote channel users on Sigma Client can select the stream they want to watch
Push-to-Talk, perfected
Sigma’s Channels feature improves the flow of communication up and down echelons and across domains by intuitively and functionally grouping endpoints together. Channels can either be pre-configured by an admin or set up ad hoc by the end user. Channels is a critical part of the Sigma Client for Windows and ATAK, enabling quick and efficient Push-to-Talk communications.
Wondering how channels, conferencing, and C2 Console patches differ? These communication methods are all endpoint-agnostic and interoperable with multiple devices, but they do have unique characteristics and applications.
IP radio integration
REDCOM Sigma is waveform-agnostic and seamlessly integrates with Software-Defined Radios (SDR) and IP-based radios.
- Bridge mixed radio nets entirely in software, with zero specialized gateways for IP radios.
- Works with all radio makes and models, including those from Silvus Technologies, Persistent Systems, TrellisWare, DTC, and Thales.
- Native interoperability with MANET networks, extending voice talk groups by linking them with other analog radios and the rest of the C2 network.
- Because each talk group is a virtual radio network, Sigma treats each talk group as its own independent radio net.
- Radio Over IP (RoIP) allows radio users to communicate directly with other users on any SIP end device (e.g., SATCOM, softphones, VoIP phones).
Endpoint-agnostic conferences
The Sigma Conference Manager delivers advanced voice and video collaboration tools for secure, critical communications involving a few to thousands of parties in real-time. The Sigma Conference Manager is the perfect solution for government agencies, military organizations, and enterprises that need to be able to bring multiple attendees together quickly, securely, and reliably.
REDCOM’s conferencing technology is endpoint agnostic, which means it works with any device, including smartphones, desk phones, softphones, and even radios.
