REDCOM to exhibit military-grade call control software on Mercury Systems low-SWaP servers at SOFIC 2019

Designed to support U.S. Army modernization strategies, REDCOM and Mercury Systems are working together to deliver an integrated solution for mobile Army communications applications that range from tactical command posts to national and strategic-level communications.

At the show, REDCOM will be exhibiting the latest versions of its military-grade virtualized call control software Sigma® running on Mercury Systems RESmini XR6 small form-factor server. The v was built from the ground up for mission-critical applications where performance, reliability, and availability are crucial. As a “data center in a briefcase”, the RESmini XR6 features an Intel Xeon scalable CPU with up to 28 cores, up to 384 GB memory, and up to 240TB storage via 8 hot-swappable drives.

With REDCOM Sigma software running on the RESmini XR6, REDCOM and Mercury Systems can deliver dramatically improved interoperable communications capabilities for tactical, expeditionary, and Special Operations Forces.

REDCOM Sigma’s encryption is a FIPS 140-2 validated engine and is continuously updated for NSA security guideline compliance (including NIAP & CSFC).

REDCOM will also be showcasing the REDCOM Secure Client, the company’s secure mobile app for Windows®, Android™, and iOS™. The app features full preemption controls and Push-to-Talk for instantaneous voice communication via IP.
