Jeff Smith promoted to Vice President of Engineering

REDCOM Laboratories Inc., a leading supplier of the world’s most secure and reliable communications solutions, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeff Smith to Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Smith will continue to lead the company’s engineering and software development teams that are responsible for building the next generation of REDCOM’s innovative communications solutions.

Jeff Smith has been with REDCOM since 2016 and is a highly accomplished technical executive with over 25 years of experience in all facets of software product development. In his role, Mr. Smith oversees the design, development, and testing of multiple REDCOM software products and is responsible for working with the management team on product strategy and content. Before joining REDCOM, Mr. Smith worked at Xerox as a Senior Software Engineer, Eastman Kodak as a Technical Lead, and Allworx as Product Software Architect, and later Director of Product Software.

Smith has done significant work to develop the capabilities and increase security of REDCOM products, has helped to facilitate the expansion of interoperability efforts with those products. “REDCOM has an incredible history, and one thing I’ve tried to facilitate here is honoring that past while looking to the future,” remarked Mr. Smith. “We’re starting to shift the way we think and the way we do business. It’s great to see that our people are excited about moving forward in a more software-focused direction.”

Chris Hasenauer, Chief Operating Officer, REDCOM Laboratories, acknowledges Mr. Smith’s accomplishments since coming to REDCOM and recognizes his promotion as an important step for the development of the company’s business as a whole, “This promotion is a testament to all of Jeff’s contributions to REDCOM as a whole. I feel strongly that we are on the path to a new period of success here at REDCOM, and Jeff has played a large part in getting us on that path.”
