REDCOM Successfully Showcases Sigma at NetModX 25

NetModX is an annual exercise with DEVCOM C5ISR’s Mobile and Survivable Command Post (MASCP) Team that tackles the challenges facing soldiers in contested battlefield network environments, including cyber threats, electromagnetic warfare, and tactical communications. In August 2025, REDCOM participated in NetModX 25, where we successfully tested our Sigma C2 software and the latest versions of the Sigma Client, both of which met or exceeded the soldiers’ expectations.

Experimentation Details:

MASCP experimentation focused on various systems for future Army command posts. Experimentation was conducted both On The Move (OTM) and At The Halt (ATH), with Sigma and Sigma Client delivering assured voice, video, and chat.

The exercise included extensive testing of Sigma’s channels feature, which was well-received by the end users.

Scenarios included:

  • Sigma Client users as members of named channels
  • Traditional endpoints as members of named channels
  • Traditional endpoints as dial-in members of named channels
  • Console connections as members of named channels
  • Ad-hoc channels from client user to client user
  • Ad-hoc channels from client user to traditional endpoint
  • DRS CAUs /intercom stations as channel members
  • Sigma Client for ATAK
  • Sigma on Cubic Lite body worn server
  • Multiple instances of Sigma servers connecting via SIP Trunks

A way forward

Customer feedback is an incredibly important part of REDCOM’s product design process. We received valuable feedback from actual end users at NetModX, which was immediately relayed back to our Strategy and R&D teams. This feedback will help drive our product roadmap to ensure future versions of Sigma are solving real-world problems for warfighters at the tactical edge.
