Steve Husband

Leadership Team

Steve Husband has been part of the REDCOM team since 1989. He currently serves as the Vice President of Manufacturing REDCOM, as well as the General Manager for REDCOM Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), which he worked to bring to fruition and continues to spearhead. Within this role, Steve leads the entire REDCOM EMS team, and also serves as the manufacturing point of contact for the entire REDCOM organization.

Steve started at REDCOM as a co-op from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Upon receiving his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Steve was hired in 1990 in production as a Manufacturing Engineer. Later, he worked as a Mechanical Engineer for five years, and when his former manager retired, he decided to make the switch back to Manufacturing in the Manager position. Steve held this role for nearly five years, learning a lot about manufacturing, accounting, and the business aspect of the company.

With real-world experience under his belt, Steve decided to go back to RIT to obtain his master’s degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing. Upon finishing his degree, he was promoted to Director of Manufacturing Operations and held this role for eight years before becoming Vice President of Manufacturing.

Steve is extremely proud of what he has been able to accomplish here at REDCOM, specifically with EMS which has seen significant growth over the last several years. He places great importance on continuous improvement and the quality of each product created for our customers, securing an ISO 9000 certification as a testament to this fact. Adaptable and supportive in his role leading the manufacturing team, Steve is always encouraging his team to try new things, step out of their comfort zone, and pursue a continued education.

Outside of REDCOM, Steve dedicates his time to his active family and enjoys running and cycling.
