  • Engineering – Electrical engineers, real time control software engineers, with C and/or Java experience, and IT software engineers. Telephony, IP, and network knowledge or educational specialization is highly desirable. While REDCOM provides a dynamic, structured environment to ensure high productivity, it also gives substantial freedom to engineers to use and build their skills and knowledge.
  • Sales – We sell direct, with our own direct sales staff and sales support staff. This includes technical requirements analysis, quotation, order entry, customer database customization, and customer technical support and training. Positions are staffed by salespersons, engineers and technicians. Education and experience requirements vary depending upon the position.
  • Manufacturing – REDCOM builds its own circuit boards and systems. REDCOM circuit boards use surface mount technologies. Positions include test engineering, manufacturing process design, board assembly/testing, system assembly/testing, as well as shipping and receiving. Education requirements vary, depending on job requirements. We cross-train our manufacturing employees, creating a flexible workforce able to meet changing demands, which greatly increases job diversity and satisfaction.
  • Facilities – We are proud of our office and manufacturing facilities. Maintenance and housekeeping activities are provided by our own facilities and grounds staff. They are an integral and valued part of our operation.
  • Administration – REDCOM administration staff handles purchasing, quality control, and a variety of other administrative activities. We have our own internal accounting staff for all necessary corporate activities. Dedicated IT servers equip them with the necessary tools, fully integrated with the rest of our corporate activities and systems. Education and experience requirements vary depending upon position.

State of the Art Facility

REDCOM’s workforce enjoys a comfortable, well maintained office and manufacturing facility. This 140,000 square foot facility is located on forty acres in suburban Victor, New York. Our manufacturing floor is built around a large, treed atrium. We have a health facility open to all employees, with two racquetball courts, exercise/workout equipment, saunas, and a large Jacuzzi. There is even an equipped radio shack for Ham radio operators. The grounds include walking paths through wooded areas.

Rochester and Upstate New York

Located near Rochester, New York, Victor is within driving distance of the Finger Lakes, Lake Ontario, Niagara Falls, the Adirondack Mountains, and the Catskill Mountains.             Software Engineer (Android/iOS)

              We are looking for an experienced Mobile developer to join our Engineering team. You’ll be a major contributor to the development of current and future Unified Communications solutions at REDCOM. You will collaborate with other members of our engineering team to design and deliver secure and reliable voice, video and chat applications.

              Skills and Requirements:

              • Experience developing native mobile applications for iOS or Android using Swift, Objective C or Java.
              • Working knowledge of associated development environments (XCode, Eclipse, or Android Studio)

                      QA Automation Engineer

                      Essential Functions

                      • Responsible for software product testing and test automation development
                      • Achieve high levels of confidence in product quality and support a continuous integration development pipeline to ensure product quality

                        Knowledge (education and training)

                        • Strong knowledge in a variety of network protocols and technologies (listed under Critical Skills) attained through the following: Associate’s or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Programming/Engineering, Networking & System Administration, Web & Mobile Computing, Systems/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or closely related degree

                                Software Quality Assurance Specialist/Engineer

                                Victor, NY

                                Essential Functions

                                • Responsible for product validation and integration of various solutions, including system software and applications on various hardware platforms. Various telecom technologies utilized, including but not limited to VoIP, Digital Interfaces, and complex protocols.
                                • Evaluate product reliability on prototypes in field trials and for final product releases.
                                • Research and acquire relevant specifications and third-party documentation pertaining to integration of related interfacing equipment.
                                • Interface with customers and/or third-party equipment vendors to coordinate systems integration efforts.
                                • Develop, document, and implement product testing techniques to carry out test plans. Techniques may include, but are not limited to, regression testing to ensure previously validated features are not affected in new development, test script development and coding. ENGINEERING LEVEL – An Engineer will have the added responsibility for the development of test plans and procedures from a set of pre-defined system requirements.
                                • Use a variety of test measurement equipment, analyzing equipment, and software applications to evaluate product performance.
                                • Responsible for fault detection, analysis, isolation, and reporting. Then, work with software engineering team to resolve. Once resolved, validate the fix.
                                • Ensure product and production goals are met from a design verification and production test perspective.

                                  Knowledge (education and training)

                                  • Strong knowledge in a variety of network protocols and technologies (listed under Critical Skills) attained through the following: Associate’s or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Programming/Engineering, Networking & System Administration, Web & Mobile Computing, Systems/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or closely related degree

                                      Special Working Conditions

                                      • Position requires 6 to 8 weeks of travel per year for product certification testing. This is typically done in two offsite trips (each trip is 2 to 4 weeks long) requiring the ability to travel by air to remote testing facilities.
                                      • May require extended work hours to meet project or customer requirements.

                                                    Sales Operations Manager

                                                    Victor, NY

                                                      Essential Functions

                                                      • Manage the Sales Operations team to meet individual and team objectives for completing quotations, managing sales orders and RMAs, and producing sales forecast reports. Special emphasis is placed on quality, consistency with written procedures, and record-keeping. Manage team workloads as needed and provide cross-training to maximize team productivity.
                                                      • Provide critical business management and analysis on the generation of quote specific terms and conditions including but not limited to, profitability analysis, general business terms, delivery terms and payment terms. Assist all sales teams during pre-sales to develop custom solutions including statements of work, maintenance plans, training programs, and leasing programs Analyze commercial documents (purchase orders, Terms and Conditions, contracts, certifications, representations, etc.) to minimize risk to REDCOM and align with REDCOM business policies.
                                                      • Actively participate in planning activities, including the Project Review Board and commercialization teams, to help ensure that new products or releases can be supported by the team. As needed, develop new strategies, tools, and/or processes. Prepare the Sales Operations team to quote, order, and in some cases, deliver new product. Develop and maintain configuration rules and tools. Provide direct education and other resources to ensure staff is knowledgeable on new products.
                                                      • As an individual contributor, create quotations for converged voice solutions using the REDCOM product suite to meet customer-specific telecommunications needs and provide support to the Sales team as well as working directly with customers in a pre-Sales role.
                                                      • Maintain the team’s standing as CRM/ERP system “power users”. Provide on-boarding, training, and ad-hoc guidance to all users to help ensure efficiency and consistency. Actively assist with initiatives to improve/replace CRM/ERP systems and procedures.
                                                      • Maintain product pricing records. Provide data and advice as needed to ensure proper pricing for new products and features.
                                                      • Ensure that Sales Operations team processes are recorded and maintained. Continuously seek and implement improvements to maximize quality, efficiency, consistency, and recordkeeping.

                                                      Knowledge and Skills that are required to fulfill the essential functions 

                                                      • Knowledge (education and training):
                                                        • 5+ years’ experience as a sales-manager, sales engineer, or manager of sales operations in a B2B company within a related technical arena. Preferably, telecommunications or telecommunications equipment/products.
                                                        • Demonstrated work history of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned work tasks.
                                                        • Demonstrated people management experience.
                                                        • Computer savvy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), SharePoint, and ERP systems.
                                                      • Critical Skills:
                                                        • Strong oral and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
                                                        • A demonstrable personal work flow process to manage the day to day job requirements

                                                                            Software QA Co-Op

                                                                            • Create and execute regression, functional, end-to-end, UAT, performance, load test, and integration test plans in an Agile/Scrum environment
