REDCOM specializes in high-tech telecommunications switching system design and manufacture. We have many talented and dedicated engineers on staff. REDCOM's employees have a wide cross-section of skills and education in engineering and non-engineering disciplines. Some of the areas for which we staff include:

  • Engineering – Electrical engineers, real time control software engineers, with C and/or Java experience, and IT software engineers. Telephony, IP, and network knowledge or educational specialization is highly desirable. While REDCOM provides a dynamic, structured environment to ensure high productivity, it also gives substantial freedom to engineers to use and build their skills and knowledge.
  • Sales – We sell direct, with our own direct sales staff and sales support staff. This includes technical requirements analysis, quotation, order entry, customer database customization, and customer technical support and training. Positions are staffed by salespersons, engineers and technicians. Education and experience requirements vary depending upon the position.
  • Manufacturing – REDCOM builds its own circuit boards and systems. REDCOM circuit boards use surface mount technologies. Positions include test engineering, manufacturing process design, board assembly/testing, system assembly/testing, as well as shipping and receiving. Education requirements vary, depending on job requirements. We cross-train our manufacturing employees, creating a flexible workforce able to meet changing demands, which greatly increases job diversity and satisfaction.
  • Facilities – We are proud of our office and manufacturing facilities. Maintenance and housekeeping activities are provided by our own facilities and grounds staff. They are an integral and valued part of our operation.
  • Administration – REDCOM administration staff handles purchasing, quality control, and a variety of other administrative activities. We have our own internal accounting staff for all necessary corporate activities. Dedicated IT servers equip them with the necessary tools, fully integrated with the rest of our corporate activities and systems. Education and experience requirements vary depending upon position.

State of the Art Facility

REDCOM's workforce enjoys a comfortable, well maintained office and manufacturing facility. This 140,000 square foot facility is located on forty acres in suburban Victor, New York. Our manufacturing floor is built around a large, treed atrium. We have a health facility open to all employees, with two racquetball courts, exercise/workout equipment, saunas, and a large Jacuzzi. There is even an equipped radio shack for Ham radio operators. The grounds include walking paths through wooded areas.

DIRECTOR OF SALES (TIER 1 & 2) 

SUMMARY

The Director of Sales (Tier 1 & 2) will be responsible for the development, establishment and maintenance of sales accounts, setting up large strategic channels in the Tier 1 & Tier 2 Fixed Telephony, Mobile, and NGN Service Providers in North America.  The Director of Sales must be able to develop and implement business-to-business sales strategies for REDCOM solutions.  

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  1. Identifies and develops potential new customers for REDCOM systems including Tier 1 & Tier 2 telephone carriers and NGN Service Providers in North America to promote and sell REDCOM solutions and services within the Tier 1 & Tier 2 Fixed Telephony, Mobile, and NGN Service Providers in North America.
  2. Sells complex telecom systems (hardware or software products) to Tier 1 – Tier 2 Fixed Telephony and NGN Providers.
  3. Collaborate with Marketing to develop Marketing initiatives and spearhead market strategy development (including gathering competitive intelligence)
  4. Attend industry events
  5. Candidates require a good track record of continuous customer success and results.
  6. Candidates must be cooperative, and work well with customers both internal and external.  

QUALIFICATIONS:  

The Director of Sales (Tier 1& 2) requires a sales-marketing executive with a telecommunication background with knowledge and understanding of Tier 1 & Tier 2 Service Providers from a business and infrastructure perspective including intimate knowledge of their technologywith special emphasis onNetwork Function Virtualization (NFV) andUnified Communications as a Service (UCaaS).  Candidates must be able to develop, nurture and manage new business partnerships and must possess excellent written, and oral communications skills.  Must be able to develop and make executive level presentations and clearly articulate  business and technical concepts to a variety of audiences.  Extensive travel required.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT/TRAVEL COORDINATOR

This position requires the ability to obtain thorough and in-depth knowledge of company operations, policies, and procedures. Handles details of a highly confidential and critical nature. Collects and prepares information for use in discussions/meetings supporting the Executive Staff. Prepares presentation materials for meetings to include board of directors, senior management and other high level meetings. Makes high level contacts of a sensitive nature inside and outside the company. Works on tasks of diverse scope which requires succinct thought and the ability to exercise judgment leading to appropriate solutions. Manage day-to-day administrative affairs of the Executive Staff including scheduling of appointments, meetings conferences and other commitments. Resolve time sensitive issues with a high degree of precision and exhibit strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Handles business expense reports. Coordination and booking of all company travel arrangements. Answering phones, screening and documenting calls. Majority of assigned work will be conducted during standard business hours, it is essential that the candidate be available during non-standard business hours to address emergency travel issues. 

Minimum Requirements

5+ years advanced administrative support experience working with senior level executives within and outside the company, customers, visitors, and other dignitaries.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

To develop UNIX-based applications of telephony switching products.  Position requires converting imprecise customer inputs into precise software specifications, designing applications conforming to these specs, producing the applications and documenting results.  BS with concentrations in CS, SE, CE with experience using C / C++ and real-time. 5+ years of experience in software development desired. Java experience desired.
