Jeffrey Smith has been part of the REDCOM team since 2005. Jeff supports REDCOM’s Government Business Development group in Government Systems Integration, specializing in telecommunications hybrid switching and virtual platform integration. Prior to joining REDCOM in 2005, Jeff served 22 years in the United States Air Force.
In his current role, Jeff is tasked with engineering communications systems for government applications, primarily supporting military and first responder needs on site and in the field. Previous roles have included Group Leader in the Systems Test Division and Customer Support. Jeff brings deep technical expertise, thought leadership, and business acumen to REDCOM’s internal organizations and customers.
Mr. Smith’s Air Force Specialty was Computers, Networks, Switching, and Cryptographic Systems. He served as the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of Secure Communications at Los Angeles Air Force Base, Superintendent for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Initial Voice Switched Network and Technical Control Facility supporting the Commander-In-Chief Iberian Atlantic, and the Superintendent of Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), Misawa Air Base, Theater Deployable Communications, Initial Communications Access Package (TDC/ICAP) and Tactical Satellite Communications. Mr. Smith received numerous individual and unit awards while in support of Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, including Warrior of the Month.
Jeff enjoys working at such a dynamic and family-oriented company, that has the ability to go from hardware to software and systems engineering. He appreciates that every person at REDCOM is willing and able to put all customers at the top of the list, and a resolution is everyone’s top priority. When Jeff leaves the office, he spends his time woodworking, custom fly tying for fly fishing, and enjoys making old things new again, restoring trucks and tractors in his spare time.
