Dave Conover has been part of the REDCOM team since 2002, and currently serves as a Customer Support Technician. In his role, Dave wears many hats. He works predominantly with our government customers, troubleshooting and providing other necessary support. He also performs on-site system installations, and often conducts product demonstrations and presentations.
A seasoned telecom veteran, Dave first began in the industry at 16 years old, helping a friend’s father install PBXs on the weekends. He later worked for Time Warner Telecom for five years as a Control Office Operations Manager and Engineer, then moved on to become a Lead Network and Voice Technician for the University of Rochester’s telecommunications department. He began working at REDCOM in 2002, where he started in the System Testing department in order to learn the ins and outs of all REDCOM products.
Highly knowledgeable and competent in his position, Dave is solution-oriented and enjoys being able to provide support to REDCOM’s customers. He is proud of the work he has done for several of our government customers – such as helping to design the Sigma Conference Manager app, used to facilitate some of the most important conversations in the world. Dave says this is the best job he has ever had. He loves what he does, learns something new every day, and believes the support that him and his colleagues provide is of the highest quality. In his spare time, Dave enjoys going for drives with his fiancé, hunting, and working in his vegetable garden.
