Integrated Maritime Communications In today’s highly interconnected and fast-paced world, communications are a necessity for executives who are on the go. While your yacht might be used for leisure and entertaining family and friends, it must also serve as a shipboard office. The Office To Go yachts from KG Marine LLC are specifically designed for business people who need to keep in touch with their worldwide locations while out of the office. Staying connected to the office doesn’t mean you have to be there. KG Marine’s 62’ and 66’ sport yachts include an office and communications facility as well as wireless network. Whether you are connected to the outside world through satellite, WiFi, or cellular service, your yacht is equipped for connectivity in the marine environment, so that you can stay in-the-loop with your business even if you are out of the office. With your Office To Go yacht, you have the option of installing a next-generation voice switching system from REDCOM, a company that designs and manufactures telecommunications solutions known for their reliability and quality. REDCOM’s SLICE® and SLICE® 2100™ are small, self-contained switching systems, designed to serve as integrated communications platforms that provide flexible, portable and reliable telecom solutions in a single, 1U unit. Housed in a self-contained, rack-mountable package, the small footprint of the SLICE and SLICE 2100 is the perfect size for shipboard communications. And, when it comes to powerful state-of-the-art telephony, the SLICE and SLICE 2100 are ideal platforms for small stand-alone or remote applications. In the case of the SLICE, a single 1U unit provides 24 analog line circuits, 4 BRI-S lines circuits and 2 digital spans (E1/T1), which operate as a fully capable telephone switching unit functioning as both a domestic and international gateway. The SLICE 2100 is an integrated communications platform that provides a flexible, reliable Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solution. In addition to full TDM capabilities, SLICE 2100 brings VoIP connectivity to your yacht so that you can have all the benefits of IP. With REDCOM advanced telecom solutions, you can stay connected wherever your yachting might take you.

Telephone Communications via REDCOM SLICE® 2100 or REDCOM SLICE® Corded and cordless phones access SLICE 2100’s complete feature set including conferencing, transfer, callback, and call detail recording. REDCOM’s ISDN BRI CommandSet’s handset Push-to-Talk (PTT) button keys the transmitter of connected VHF or SSB radios.
