PC Networking via Wireless Router
Onboard PCs share files (maintenance library, music database, etc.) over an onboard high speed wired and wireless network (LAN). A TracPhone provides low speed internet access for all onboard PCs. An optional satellite modem and broadband satellite dish provide high speed internet access for all onboard PCs.
Telephone Communications via REDCOM SLICE® 2100 or REDCOM SLICE®
Corded and cordless phones access SLICE 2100’s complete feature set including conferencing, transfer, callback, and call detail recording. REDCOM’s ISDN BRI CommandSet’s handset Push-to-Talk (PTT) button keys the transmitter of connected VHF or SSB radios. Off-vessel calls use a dock-side phone line while in port; at sea they use a TracPhone satellite connection.
