REDCOM Gateway Exchange for Command & Control (IGX·C)

The REDCOM Gateway Exchange for Command & Control (IGX·C) application is a special derivative of REDCOM's Gateway Exchange (IGX). The IGX·C includes all the standard features of the IGX and adds enhancements especially useful in command and control and emergency response settings such as police, fire and emergency response, disaster recovery, military, and air traffic control networks. Special emergency configurations are available in sturdy portable containers with attached fold-down dispatch consoles. Some features may be restricted to U.S. Government users.

The IGX·C combines with a unique cross-connect to create the REDCOM Tactical Communications Package (TCP). This design ensures rapid setup and field adaptation to your changing deployment requirements. The TCP is specifically designed to support field communications demands common in military operations, government agency disaster responses, and other tactical/emergency response situations. The TCP's numerous wired, wireless, and satellite interfaces plus advanced multinational signaling support make it the proven choice for interoperable communications. The TCP, using the IGX·C's stackable modularity, serves deployments small and large.

The IGX·C supports the REDCOM CommandSet™. This special ISDN phone provides support for Push-To-Talk (PTT) and Push-To-Signal (PTS) features. A button on the handset allows direct keying of switched radios. The PTT feature allows the user to activate a special mute function. When the PTT button is depressed and held the audio is not muted. Releasing the button mutes the audio. Depressing the button activates the PTS feature. This allows the user to key a radio transmitter.
