Warfighters currently use a wide range of communications and encryption technologies that were not designed to be compatible. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Time Division Multiplexing (TDM), and the Tri Services Network are all from different generations of technology. REDCOM HDX•C with TRANSip delivers the secure converged network solution to serve the Warfighters’ communication needs.

HDX•C allows a Type 1 Secure VoIP phone to call directly and securely to a Secure Analog Device. Also, HDX•C enables a KY-68 phone, dialing 10 digits, to communicate securely with a Type 1 Secure VoIP Phone.

Warfighters are highly dependent on SATCOM for their reach back support. VoIP consumes a considerable amount of SATCOM bandwidth if not controlled. Standards and the HDX•C’s advanced VoIP trunk features help manage the SATCOM bandwidth consumed in IP based voice communications.

Considerable SATCOM bandwidth can be saved during modem driven secure voice conversations by using HDX•C’s integrated V.150.1 standard. Advanced VoIP trunk features manage the quantity of calls allowed onto a SATCOM link as well as the amount of bandwidth a user can consume.
