Norwalk, Conn. – January 18, 2010Technology Marketing Corporation today announced that the Softswitch Channel, sponsored by REDCOM Laboratories Inc., has been launched as the newest addition to the TMCnet channel program.

REDCOM’s Softswitch Channel on TMCnet will serve as a source of information on fully integrated VoIP and TDM softswitch solutions for service providers whose business strategies require new market development, a VoIP network overlay or a migration path to Next Generation Network services. The Softswitch Channel will provide a valuable resource for service providers who want to deliver NGN services quickly and cost-effectively and need Carrier Class 4/5 softswitch solutions that leverage and preserve all the functionality and investment in legacy assets, while offering safe passage to leap-forward VoIP technology.

TMCnet’s channels are micro-targeted information portals where readers can find topic-specific news, articles, feature stories and product reviews. TMCnet has more than 100 channels covering important topics in the IP Communications, VoIP, IP Telephony, Cloud Computing, Smart Grid and Information Technology industries.

“REDCOM is excited to be partnering with TMC, the leader of communications and technology media,” said Carlos Sánchez, VP of sales for the Americas at REDCOM. “As the world’s largest communications and technology community, TMCnet is the perfect vehicle for REDCOM’s Softswitch Channel to reach a broad audience of telecommunications service providers who are looking for ways to lower operating expenditures and to increase margins, while offering new value-added services to their subscriber base.”

REDCOM’s HDX and SLICE 2100 Carrier-Class softswitch platforms enable service providers to deploy flexible networks that can adapt to increasing end-user demands and competitive industry dynamics at a lower operating cost. One of the great benefits of a REDCOM System is that it does not require recurring expenditures like mandatory service agreements or software upgrades, thus positively impacting your bottom line.

Whether service providers are looking to add DSL or IPTV services, REDCOM has them covered when it comes to an interoperable carrier-class solution that interfaces with these value-added services. REDCOM’s carrier-class SLICE 2100 and HDX softswitches allow service providers to future proof their networks to interoperate today, respecting the past and anticipating the future with a wide range of protocols and interfaces, positioning them for long-term growth.

“TMCnet welcomes REDCOM’s Softswitch Channel into our program,” said Dave Rodriguez, president of TMC. “REDCOM is a well-respected softswitch manufacturer that shares our vision in the advancement of new technologies. Our channel program is a community-building vehicle assisting our partners in building their brand, while contributing to the vast array of valuable content which drives customer and prospect traffic to TMCnet, the most-visited communications and technology Web site in the world.”
