REDCOM Breaks Ground on 18,000-Square-Foot Addition to Headquarters

New Building Will House Customer Training Facility and Government Technology Center

Victor, New York (July 27, 2009) – REDCOM Laboratories Inc., a company that designs and manufactures the world’s most reliable digital and IP-enabled telecommunications systems, announced today that it has broken ground on an 18,000-square-foot addition to the company’s headquarters in Victor. The new two-story building will house REDCOM’s Customer Training Facility and Government Technology Center. Construction of the new building will be completed in March 2010.

REDCOM, which employs more than 200 people and is home to some of the leading experts in the telecommunications industry, has occupied its 120,000-square-foot headquarters in Victor since 1985. The existing structure is comprised of three hexagon-shaped modules that fit together and will lend themselves easily to the addition of the fourth module. The building expansion will allow REDCOM to better serve its global base of commercial and government customers. REDCOM equipment is installed in more than 50 countries across six continents.

With the new Customer Training Facility, REDCOM will provide regularly scheduled, in-depth training at REDCOM’s headquarters in order to ensure that the company’s customers maximize the performance of their network and REDCOM equipment. When completed, the new REDCOM Government Technology Center will serve as a work environment to continue to maintain strict control of data, which is required by the U.S. military and other government customers.

Construction of the new building is led by The Pike Company, Rochester, NY. The architect firm for the construction project is DeWolff Partnership Architects LLP, also of Rochester.
