September 10, 2012 at 7:15 AM
REDCOM Laboratories Inc., a company that designs and manufactures the world’s most reliable fully interoperable telecommunications systems, announced today that it will exhibit its deployable communications solutions at the 2012 Modern Day Marine Exposition, September 25 – 27 at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA.
REDCOM will demonstrate true communications interoperability using published telephony standards. The technologies integrated into REDCOM’s converged network will include: IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack REDCOM switches, secure and non-secure IP and analog end devices (including wired, wireless, ISDN and radios), a deployed secure gateway application, SIP and AS-SIP trunking, and IP circuit extension.
REDCOM will exhibit its UC APL listed HDX•C and SLICE® family of products, including the recently announced SLICE® 2100 Micro. The SLICE 2100 Micro packs the communications power of REDCOM’s SLICE 2100 into a box as small as a hardcover book. Powered by REDCOM’s TRANSip® VoIP technology suite together with an integrated Media Gateway, Media Gateway Controller, SIP Call Controller, and legacy support, the SLICE 2100 Micro provides maximum interoperability in an extremely compact package.
REDCOM is pleased to have announced that the HDX•C and SLICE family of products Version 4.0 have been placed on the Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL) and certified for use as a Local Session Controller (LSC) by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Unified Capabilities Certification Office (UCCO). Warfighters on today’s modern battlefield can be confident that their calls will get through, backed by the reliability and extensive interoperability of REDCOM products operating in a Joint environment.
In the DoD environment, AS-SIP provides military-unique features such as MLPP for establishing communication with resource priorities, ensuring system and network access and control, and providing precedence and pre-emption policies to assure connectivity. This essential element of command and control ensures that the most important calls get through and are able to “tandem” and deliver priority calls for end-to-end warfighter communications.
