REDCOM specializes in high-tech telecommunications switching system design and manufacture. We have many talented and dedicated engineers on staff. REDCOM’s employees have a wide cross-section of skills and education in engineering and non-engineering disciplines. Some of the areas for which we staff include:

  • Engineering – Electrical engineers, real time control software engineers, with C and/or Java experience, and IT software engineers. Telephony, IP, and network knowledge or educational specialization is highly desirable. While REDCOM provides a dynamic, structured environment to ensure high productivity, it also gives substantial freedom to engineers to use and build their skills and knowledge.
  • Sales – We sell direct, with our own direct sales staff and sales support staff. This includes technical requirements analysis, quotation, order entry, customer database customization, and customer technical support and training. Positions are staffed by salespersons, engineers and technicians. Education and experience requirements vary depending upon the position.
  • Manufacturing – REDCOM builds its own circuit boards and systems. REDCOM circuit boards use surface mount technologies. Positions include test engineering, manufacturing process design, board assembly/testing, system assembly/testing, as well as shipping and receiving. Education requirements vary, depending on job requirements. We cross-train our manufacturing employees, creating a flexible workforce able to meet changing demands, which greatly increases job diversity and satisfaction.
  • Facilities – We are proud of our office and manufacturing facilities. Maintenance and housekeeping activities are provided by our own facilities and grounds staff. They are an integral and valued part of our operation.
  • Administration – REDCOM administration staff handles purchasing, quality control, and a variety of other administrative activities. We have our own internal accounting staff for all necessary corporate activities. Dedicated IT servers equip them with the necessary tools, fully integrated with the rest of our corporate activities and systems. Education and experience requirements vary depending upon position.

State of the Art Facility

REDCOM’s workforce enjoys a comfortable, well maintained office and manufacturing facility. This 140,000 square foot facility is located on forty acres in suburban Victor, New York. Our manufacturing floor is built around a large, treed atrium. We have a health facility open to all employees, with two racquetball courts, exercise/workout equipment, saunas, and a large Jacuzzi. There is even an equipped radio shack for Ham radio operators. The grounds include walking paths through wooded areas.

Located near Rochester, New York, Victor is within driving distance of the Finger Lakes, Lake Ontario, Niagara Falls, the Adirondack Mountains, and the Catskill Mountains. Marketing Director

We’re searching for a dynamic Marketing Director with telecom experience!

Essential Functions

  • Create a pipeline of business development opportunities by crafting and continually refining the branding and marketing strategy for REDCOM’s products and services. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Optimization of REDCOM’s lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels to create a stream of qualified and actionable business opportunities.
    • Establishment of closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and continually refine our process to convert customers.
    • Creation of an annual budget for marketing expenses, which includes tradeshows, online and print advertising, national sales meeting, product literature, etc.
    • Oversight of the development and implementation of trade shows and events to meet agreed to lead generation and expense objectives.
  • Lead the team responsible for developing value propositions, messaging, and positioning that clearly articulate our solutions and differentiate us from the competition. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Creation of product content (i.e., sales enablement documentation, case studies, product videos, website copy, blog posts, forum responses, etc.) to articulate the benefits of our products to the world.
    • Attracting site traffic, converting that traffic into new leads for the business, and nurturing those leads to close into customers
    • Building and managing a rich content/editorial calendar based on the created content that attracts a qualified audience to our owned properties (including blog posts, whitepapers, eBooks, reports, webinars, infographics, etc.)
  • Communicate REDCOM’s position as an innovative and engaging organization, both inwardly (to employees) and outwardly (for recruitment, to customers, as a community contributor). This includes but is not limited to:
    • Advertising (print, online)
    • Social and community engagement

The required knowledge and background for this position would typically be possessed by a person with at least 10 years in marketing, 5 years in marketing strategy development, and 5 years leading marketing teams including budgetary responsibility. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field of study is necessary, but a bachelor’s degree in engineering or telecom, accompanied by an MBA, would also be welcomed.

    Regional Sales Manager

    We’re searching for a Regional Sales Manager with a telecommunications background.

    If these are must-haves, then here is what we are asking of you…

    Develop new sales accounts and deliver incremental revenue from existing accounts within the assigned territory. Assist customers with the configuration of REDCOM systems to supply input for the generation of a proposal. Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, as well as relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies.

    The required knowledge and background for this position would typically be possessed by a person with at least five years’ recent experience in B2B telecommunications sales. The ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 40%, without restriction. Also, a demonstrated work history of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned sales quotas and legal authorization to work in the US are a must.

      Customer Support Specialist

      The primary responsibilities of this position include providing technical services to internal and external customers prior to and after sale regarding use of products, conducting research to answer routine and non-routine technical questions, and to resolve technical problems.

      Additionally, responsibility includes contribution to customer training content and conducting customer training classes.

      Successful candidates will offer working knowledge in traditional telecommunications, telecommunications test equipment and software, and servers and network connections. Strong customer service skills, the ability to communicate effectively as a classroom instructor, the ability to travel domestically and internationally, and availability to be on call in order to answer customer calls are all critical to the success of this position.

      The following IT Networking experience in a telecom environment is desirable:

      • Session border controllers
      • Firewalls
      • Wireshark analysis
      • Cisco routers
      • Wireless and server technologies
