REDCOM specializes in high-tech telecommunications switching system design and manufacture. We have many talented and dedicated engineers on staff. REDCOM’s employees have a wide cross-section of skills and education in engineering and non-engineering disciplines. Some of the areas for which we staff include:

  • Engineering – Electrical engineers, real time control software engineers, with C and/or Java experience, and IT software engineers. Telephony, IP, and network knowledge or educational specialization is highly desirable. While REDCOM provides a dynamic, structured environment to ensure high productivity, it also gives substantial freedom to engineers to use and build their skills and knowledge.
  • Sales – We sell direct, with our own direct sales staff and sales support staff. This includes technical requirements analysis, quotation, order entry, customer database customization, and customer technical support and training. Positions are staffed by salespersons, engineers and technicians. Education and experience requirements vary depending upon the position.
  • Manufacturing – REDCOM builds its own circuit boards and systems. REDCOM circuit boards use surface mount technologies. Positions include test engineering, manufacturing process design, board assembly/testing, system assembly/testing, as well as shipping and receiving. Education requirements vary, depending on job requirements. We cross-train our manufacturing employees, creating a flexible workforce able to meet changing demands, which greatly increases job diversity and satisfaction.
  • Facilities – We are proud of our office and manufacturing facilities. Maintenance and housekeeping activities are provided by our own facilities and grounds staff. They are an integral and valued part of our operation.
  • Administration – REDCOM administration staff handles purchasing, quality control, and a variety of other administrative activities. We have our own internal accounting staff for all necessary corporate activities. Dedicated IT servers equip them with the necessary tools, fully integrated with the rest of our corporate activities and systems. Education and experience requirements vary depending upon position.

State of the Art Facility

REDCOM’s workforce enjoys a comfortable, well maintained office and manufacturing facility. This 140,000 square foot facility is located on forty acres in suburban Victor, New York. Our manufacturing floor is built around a large, treed atrium. We have a health facility open to all employees, with two racquetball courts, exercise/workout equipment, saunas, and a large Jacuzzi. There is even an equipped radio shack for Ham radio operators. The grounds include walking paths through wooded areas.

Rochester and Upstate New York

Located near Rochester, New York, Victor is within driving distance of the Finger Lakes, Lake Ontario, Niagara Falls, the Adirondack Mountains, and the Catskill Mountains. These provide a wealth of year-round outdoor activities. Rochester also provides excellent access to advanced educational, medical, and cultural resources. Order Management Specialist


Provide sales support and product delivery services to customers and internal organizations in order to:

  • Help REDCOM achieve its business goals
  • Create positive experiences for our customers
  • Increase operational efficiencies


    1. Enable the efficient and accurate delivery of REDCOM products to customers.
    1. Create and maintain positive customer relationships through accurate and timely communication and recordkeeping.
    1. Ensure that executive and management teams have a clear view to sales status.
    1. Deliver REDCOM software products to customers using Internet-based tools and methods.
    1. Enable and increase operational efficiency.
    1. Provide periodic backup to Reception.
    1. Prepare Quotations under the direction of Sales Engineers and send to prospective customers.


    • 2+ years experience in similar positions requiring review and interpretation of sales terms and conditions
    • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher preferred)
    • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
    • Basic knowledge of accounting practices and terminology
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent customer-service skills
    • Strong attention to detail

    System Integration & Test Specialist


    Perform product testing to ensure proper hardware and software functioning. Assist in field installations and testing of new products when required. Evaluate product reliability for final product releases. Interface with customers as required. Provide inter-departmental support of system operations, documentation, and troubleshooting.


      • AAS in Electronics, Computer Science, Software, IT, or related area OR equivalent as demonstrated by at least 4 years of directly applicable work experience
      • 2+ years experience designing, testing, debugging, and repairing telephone switching systems
      • Demonstrated experience working independently
      • Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols and relational database administration

      Sr. Supply Chain Specialist


      Ensure that supplies and inventory are ordered, received, replenished, and kept at appropriate levels so the business can function properly.


      • Participate in new product development activities such as proposal generation; cost estimating; project planning; and then drive initial supply chain development.
      • Develop strategic supplier relationships in terms of delivery, cost and quality.
      • Serve as a main point of contact for suppliers and ensure any questions from them are dealt with in an effective and timely manner.
      • Develop and implement tools and processes for customer on-time delivery improvement through the management of strategic sourcing activities and coordination of tactical resources within the supply chain organization.
      • Continuously monitor customer demand and technology trends to support supply chain development and strategic sourcing opportunities.
      • Analyze data around the use or depletion of supplies and inventory over time to ensure that the company never has a deficit or an excess surplus.
      • Expedite the delivery of critical equipment and/or material
      • Preparation and presentation of reports to show trends and data on supplies and/or inventory


      • 10+ years of related experience in supply chain or purchasing with at least 3 years in an electronics manufacturing environment
      • Associate’s degree or higher in a related field
