Product Manager

  • How would you like to help frame up the future of a company poised to enter the next stage of growth in Unified Communications?
  • What about working with the latest technologies and architectures, such as WebRTC and SDN?
  • Maybe you’re interested in working for a fast-paced small company, where your ideas can influence product strategy and the overall product portfolio

We’re searching for an enthusiastic and confident Product Manager with the ability and persistence to sell good ideas up and across the organization—to actively engage business stakeholders as a thought leader in the space where technology and business intersect.

Your primary responsibilities are as follows:

  • Market Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of served markets through interaction with prospects, customers, analysts and other thought leaders in the industry.
  • Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmap: Develop and constantly refine product strategy and vision, based on input from customers, internal marketing, and your own research: What new markets can we penetrate? Where are the best opportunities?
  • Product Ownership: Serve as the product owner, providing the development team with direction. This involves writing and prioritizing requirements informed by a solid understanding of customer and market needs. The Product Manager drives development, not the opposite.
  • Product Communication and Support: Evangelize product direction and benefits with external audiences, including customers, prospects and the analyst community. Support internal teams (Sales, Marcomm, Customer Support) with in-depth product information

You need to think solutions first, and then specify the feature sets that deliver them. Your ability to be both detail-oriented and a big-picture strategist is a must.

Requirements:

  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse community: executives, managers, subject matter experts, and project team members
  • Solid understanding of networking technologies and protocols
  • Two years experience in a role involving opportunity identification, requirements gathering, product planning, or product portfolio strategy-setting in a forward-thinking networking technology organization
  • Experience working within a formal project management methodology a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus.
